1. What we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, mobile number and business name, along with your consent timestamp. As you use the app we store the data you enter: customer/supplier names, their optional mobile numbers, transaction entries (amount, date, note), and cashbook records. We also keep technical logs (login time, actions in the app) for security and audit.
2. Why we collect it (purpose)
Solely to provide the ParchiSaathi digital khata service: maintaining your ledgers, sending one-time passwords (OTP) on WhatsApp for login/registration, letting you send khata links and payment reminders to your customers on WhatsApp, and generating your statements and reports. We do not sell your data.
3. Consent (DPDP Act, 2023)
Registration requires your explicit consent to receive RCS, WhatsApp, Email or SMS communications from ParchiSaathi. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (Section 7); withdrawing consent for OTP messages will make login by OTP unavailable.
4. Your customers' data
You are responsible for the customer names and mobile numbers you record. Share links
(/s/…) show that customer only their own khata with your business and are protected by a long
random token; share them only with the customer concerned.
5. Storage & security
Data is stored on servers located with our hosting provider. PINs are stored only as strong one-way hashes (bcrypt). OTPs are hashed at rest and expire in 5 minutes. Deleted entries are marked void and retained for audit integrity. We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for legal and accounting purposes.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and may nominate a person to exercise these rights, as provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We will respond within a reasonable time.
